JUDY WESALO TEMEL has spent her career in the municipal bond business, on both the broker-dealer and issuer sides. She worked for seventeen years at Goldman, Sachs & Co., following employment at Lehman Brothers, and the Office of the Comptroller of the City of New York. She serves on the boards of several large not-for-profit agencies and speaks and writes widely about many aspects of the business. Temel is a graduate of Cornell University and holds an MPA from New York University.

A very well written book.

After a few years in waiting, I am glad to see that the Bond Market Association has released the 5th addition of The Fundamentals of Municiple Bonds. The author of this book did a great job capturing the signifigance of the municiple bond, and exaplining it clearly with graphs and charts. I highly recomend this book and give it a 5 star rating.

This book gives an excellent overview of muni bonds. It covers the terminology associated with these bonds.
However it contains limited math analysis.

Almost more than you want to know

This is really a text book on municipal bonds....the kinds...the ratings and how the municipal bond market works and how it is supervised. If you are looking for strategies on how to invest in these bonds, this is not the book for you. This is a very basic book with almost more information about bonds than the average investor really needs to know. I learned a lot.
