Well, wake up, because Richard Stutely's manual on numbers for nonfinancial managers blows a bracing gust of fresh air into a stale subject. A very well written book.

After a few years in waiting, I am glad to see that the Bond Market Association has released the 5th addition of The Fundamentals of Municiple Bonds. The author of this book did a great job capturing the signifigance of the municiple bond, and exaplining it clearly with graphs and charts. I highly recomend this book and give it a 5 star rating.

This book gives an excellent overview of muni bonds. It covers the terminology associated with these bonds.
However it contains limited math analysis.

Almost more than you want to know

This is really a text book on municipal bonds....the kinds...the ratings and how the municipal bond market works and how it is supervised. If you are looking for strategies on how to invest in these bonds, this is not the book for you. This is a very basic book with almost more information about bonds than the average investor really needs to know. I learned a lot.

Great for the science oriented child, even adults!

My 11 year old loves all things science. When I first purchased the Usborne Illustrated Dictionary of Physics book, however, he tried reading it (he was 9.5 then) and didn't understand much of what he was reading. It went in the bookshelf for a while. Well, fast forward a year, it's now his favorite book. He even took it with him to his church youth camp for "casual reading" (yes, that's the type of kid he is!). LOL. The other kids didn't believe him when he said he's reading it for fun. The Usborne Illustrated Dictionary of Science is basically a compilation of the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology dictionaries. I love these books because they're concise, yet contain sufficient information to give a thorough explanation for a kid who loves science. The illustrations are awesome to help those who are visually oriented get a better understanding of the concepts.

The author, G.E. Taylor gives the reader all. It's a romance novel but different. You get suspense, romance, mystery and some fast action. The minute you start turning the pages you won't be able to let go. You won't be able to turn the pages fast enough. I found my heart beating a little fast. The author wrote of such detailed characters. They were realistic, like you were there when Allison tries to gain her freedom. When Mason steps on the gas, you can almost feel the car speed up. You find yourself relating to the characters. You'll be asking yourself if the decisions they make are the right ones. Is that what you would do? The author has written a book full a web of emotions,where the entanglements keep you thinking, What's Next"?

If you're looking for a unique twist on a romance novel, this is the book for you. It has a little bit of everything: mystery, suspense, romance and action. There was a fantastic amount of tension that kept the pages turning. It was completely effortless to sink into. The characters were well developed and it felt so easy to relate to them.

Ha - I had to buy this book only because it was written by my first crush when I was in 5th grade at Huddleston Elem in Peachtree City GA!! Tommy Nadelhoffer! Oh how dreamy I thought he was when I was 9 years old! LOL :) Nice work, Tommy!
